Psychosocial Support Facilitator - Aley

We are looking for an experienced PSS Facilitator to be based in our Aley Community Center. 

The PSS Facilitator is responsible for designing and delivering structured psychosocial support activities for women and girls. The role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes mental well-being, resilience, and empowerment. The facilitator will also ensure proper referrals for medium-to-high-risk cases and contribute to the continuous improvement of program activities.

Main Tasks:

• Develop and implement culturally appropriate psychosocial support activities tailored to the needs of women and girls.
• Regularly update and adapt the curriculum based on beneficiaries’ needs and feedback.
• Ensure activities promote emotional well-being, self-expression, and social cohesion.
• Prepare a list of required materials, supplies, and refreshments for each session.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and safeguarding of organizational materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of participant attendance, engagement, and progress.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on activities, outcomes, and challenges to the relevant supervisor.
• Lead outreach and awareness-raising sessions to engage targeted communities.
• Identify and report medium-to-high-risk cases to the case management team following organizational protocols.
• Facilitate referrals to relevant agencies to ensure beneficiaries have access to necessary services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in PSS facilitation, social work, or community engagement, preferably with NGOs.
• Strong understanding of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) principles.
• Experience working with women and girls in vulnerable communities is a plus.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to challenging environments.
