GBV Case Worker - Achrafieh

We are looking for an experienced GBV Case Worker to be based in our Achrafieh Community Center.
The GBV caseworker is accountable to the center coordinator. They act according to the guiding principles of GBV and Child Protection case management including a survivor-centered approach, respect for confidentiality, prioritizing according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’, ensuring a non-discriminatory approach, acting according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest.
Main Tasks:
- Provide GBV case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable persons, particularly survivors of gender-based violence referred by the team and other agencies.
- Case management services will include assessment of needs, development of an action plan for recovery, implementation of the action plan, and ensuring appropriate follow-up/revision and case closure when appropriate. The case management process should be implemented through the survivor-centered approach.
- Work closely with different departments and other service providers to properly refer beneficiaries as needed.
- Contribute to and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that the team is informed of all relevant and available services through identifying opportunities for coordination with different NGOs for future Cooperation.
- Conduct outreach and home visits and document them, in addition to handling urgent cases once needed and outside working hours.
- Receive referrals, take action and provide feedback on actions taken in a timely manner to the manager and other agencies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, and beneficiaries’ files that are in line with data management protocol standards, monitor the database, and support the officer in case file audit procedure.
- Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner directly to the senior social worker and the community center manager
- Attend trainings when needed and share the tools with other staff members.
- Participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by the senior caseworker and share materials and tools with staff members.
- Participate and collaborate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial, awareness, emotional support groups) conducted on the field when requested by the supervisor
- Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside the centres.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in NGO or humanitarian settings, supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Knowledge of protection and reporting protocols, with strong documentation and confidentiality practices.
- Inclusive communicator with cultural sensitivity and adaptability to diverse groups.
- Flexible, able to conduct community visits, and work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
