Job Purpose: The Youth and Sports Facilitator is responsible for implementing structured and inclusive youth and sports activities, ensuring active engagement, personal development, and safe participation. This role involves fostering a positive environment, delivering life skills through sports, and adhering to Basmeh & Zeitooneh's safeguarding policies.

Major Activities:

  • Lead regular youth sessions and evaluate them with participants.
  • Encourage active youth participation in all activities.
  • Ensure activities are held in safe and appropriate locations.
  • Document feedback and share regular reports with the Protection coordinator and project coordinator.
  • Inform youth about feedback and complaint mechanisms.
  • Identify and refer youth in need of support.
  • Apply organization assessment tools when required.
  • Use positive facilitation skills to create a comfortable space for youth.
  • Ensure youth safety and well-being during all activities.
  • Conduct structured Sports for Development (S4D) sessions to encourage teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.
  • Integrate life skills such as leadership, communication, and conflict resolution into sports activities to support youth development.
  • Design inclusive and engaging sports activities that foster participation among all youth, ensuring age and gender sensitivity.
  • Promote non-discriminatory, age, and gender-sensitive participation.
  • Follow the organization's code of conduct and child protection policy.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Working within the principles of the Code of Conduct.
  • Ensuring that participants have access to the appropriate service.
  • Ensuring that the Foundation’s team interacts with participants within the principles of the B&Z, especially preserving dignity and avoiding psychological harm.
  • Achieving the required number of participants at the end of the program while ensuring the quality of work.
  • Ensure that a safe environment is provided for the child in the institution and the school.
  • Create positive communication with the team.

Education & Experience :

  • University degree with at least 1 year of experience OR high school diploma with 3 years of experience in youth programs.
  • Previous experience as a trainer or facilitator is required.
  • Age 21 or older.
  • Preferably from the local community.
  • Motivated, flexible, and has good communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of child protection and a good role model for youth.
  • Certification or training in Sports for Development (S4D) or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience in designing and facilitating sports-based programs for youth is an asset.
  • Knowledge of integrating life skills into sports activities for holistic youth development.
