Job Summary
The BLN/Retention Support teacher is responsible for supporting the education team in the overall implementation of the education project in shelters.
She/He will assist in providing non-formal education programs to out of school children and/or youth.
The candidate will closely work with students residing in shelters to ensure community mobilization and engagement throughout the implementation of the activities.
Duties:
- Participates in the planning and implementation of the non-formal education activities including: basic literacy and numeracy and retention support
- Handling works related data entry and input.
- Planning, Preparing and delivering lessons according to the curriculum.
- Assessing and reporting on the behavior and progress of students.
- Ensuring highest standards of quality and applying up-to-date teaching methods.
- Refers specific cases to different services whenever required.
- Attending and taking part in staff meetings to support the smooth running of the program.
- Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and staff to safeguard and ensure the educational welfare of the students.

Computer Skills:
- Microsoft office – all applications
- Software applications required for daily operations
Academic Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, Sociology, Animation or any related field.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 1 to 2 years of working experience in teaching preferably Arabic, English and Mathematics
- Experience working with refugees and other vulnerable groups
- Experience in community mobilization
