A Medical Doctor (MD) in a Mobile Clinic serving People with Disabilities (PWDs) and Older People is responsible for providing essential healthcare services, focusing on accessibility, prevention, and treatment. The key tasts are:
1. Medical Consultation & Diagnosis
Conduct clinical assessments and diagnose common health issues.
Manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, arthritis).
Identify and address age-related and disability-specific health concerns.
2. Treatment & Medication Management
Prescribe and dispense medications as needed.
Provide pain management and symptom relief.
Monitor side effects and adherence to treatments.
3. Disability & Geriatric Care
Address mobility issues, pressure sores, and nutritional needs.
Provide guidance on assistive devices (wheelchairs, prosthetics).
Coordinate with rehabilitation specialists (physiotherapists, occupational therapists).
4. Emergency & Acute Care
Handle urgent medical cases and minor procedures.
Provide first aid and emergency stabilization.
Refer critical cases to hospitals or specialized facilities.
5. Health Education & Preventive Care
Conduct awareness sessions on hygiene, chronic disease management, and mental health.
Offer vaccinations and routine screenings (blood pressure, glucose, etc.).
Provide family and caregiver training for home care.
6. Psychosocial Support & Coordination
Identify signs of mental health issues (depression, anxiety).
Work with social workers and psychologists for holistic care.
Collaborate with NGOs and local health facilities for referrals.
7. Data Collection & Reporting
Document patient history, diagnosis, and treatment.
Report trends, challenges, and gaps in services.
Assist in monitoring and evaluation of mobile clinic operations.
