Non-food- Family planning commodities and Sexual  and reproductive health medications

 

January 2025- February 2025

 

Oxfam in Lebanon are implementing a 5-year, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) funded project entitled “Power to Choose – Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) for Young Women and Adolescent Girls”. The project aims to increase the enjoyment of health-related human rights by the most marginalized and vulnerable women and adolescent girls in northern Lebanon and specifically in Tripoli.

This goal will be achieved through:

  • Increased agency of young women and adolescent girls contributing to their equitable use of sexual and reproductive health services,
  • improved provision of gender-responsive, inclusive and accountable sexual and reproductive health services by health care providers for diverse groups of young women and adolescent girls,
  •  Enhanced Advocacy   of key stakeholders, particularly women and youth organizations or movements, to advocate for evidence-based health care policies, accountable legal framework, and equitable and inclusive services.

 

 

Activity Objective: 

 

 

Oxfam in Lebanon is seeking to recruit a medical company or drugstore to sign a contract agreement for the provision of family planning commodities and sexual and reproductive health medications.

 

Content of Works:

 

 

  •   Delivery will be made directly to Oxfam’s partners’ warehouses in Beirut,
  •  Oxfam will check the expiry dates and condition of the kit items and reserves the right to request the replacement of items with short expiry dates (less than 12 months).
  •  The supplier is responsible for transporting the kits to the warehouses and for hiring workers for unloading the kits onsite with each truck.
  •  The supplier should have the capacity to prepare the items within 5 days from the date of signing the purchase order (PO).
  •  The supplier will adhere to the provisions based on the requested specifications.
  • The supplier is required to notify Oxfam if they intend to replace a medication with a similar drug, even if it falls under the same subclass. Oxfam will review the proposed substitution against the medication lists approved by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and decide whether to approve or reject it.
  • Oxfam has the right to increase or decrease quantities at the same unit cost. Oxfam has the right to select and purchase items needed.
  • Oxfam will aim to do a direct purchase for the below items and to sign a framework agreement-Changing in market prices will be considered.

How to apply

Requested Documents

  • Company registration documents 
  • Copy of the ID of the representative/owner of the company.
  • Ministry of Finance registration certificate and VAT if applicable.
  • Proof of experience
  • Full Specifications /Datasheet of all the items.
  • Delivery timeframe
  • The bidder should include costs for transportation.
  • Bidder shall provide completed priced Bill of Quantities (BOQ). The unit prices and rates must be presented in US dollars- Including VAT if applicable-each of the offer item.

 

Submission of offers and sample:

 

Supplier should send a sample of the items to Oxfam office in Tripoli to the following address:

Financial offer and Requested Documents should be submitted to lebanonprocurement@oxfam.org.uk . before 4 PM, 10th of February 2025, mentioning “Health Medications” in the subject line. Any offer submitted after will not be considered.

 

Timeframe and Payment:

 

100% upon successful delivery of all the agreed items according to the approved Datasheet, and submitting formal and original invoice.
