Homework Support Teachers

Key Responsibilities: 

Homework Assistance: 

Guide students in completing their homework assignments accurately and effectively. 

Explain difficult concepts and provide clear, step-by-step guidance to enhance understanding. 

Subject-Specific Support: 

Deliver subject-specific help tailored to the needs of students in Mathematics, Arabic, Foreign Languages (English and French), and Science. 

Adapt explanations and methods to suit the learning style of each student. 

Skill Reinforcement: 

Identify and address gaps in students’ knowledge and skills. 

Reinforce lessons learned in school through supplementary exercises and activities. 

Study Skills Development: 

Teach effective study strategies, time management, and organizational skills. 

Foster independent learning by equipping students with problem-solving techniques. 

Progress Monitoring: 

Track and document students’ progress in their assigned subjects. 

Provide regular feedback to students and parents on areas of improvement and achievements. 

Collaboration: 

Collaborate with parents and, if needed, classroom teachers to align support with the school curriculum and expectations. 

Participate in meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for improvement. 

Classroom Management: 

Create a positive and encouraging learning environment. 

Maintain discipline and ensure a respectful and productive atmosphere during sessions. 

Language Proficiency: 

Provide support in both English and French for students learning foreign languages. 

Qualifications: 

Education: 

A bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject (Mathematics, Science, Arabic, English, or French). 

Experience: 

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching students in the specified grades and subjects is preferred. 

Skills: 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Proficiency in English and French (written and spoken). 

Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics, Arabic, Foreign Languages, and Science. 

Ability to work with students of diverse learning abilities and styles. 

Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for helping students succeed. 

Work Schedule: 

Flexible hours based on students’ needs, with sessions held after school.
