Background:
Elderly Palestinians living in the Beddawi and Baalbeck camps often face limited access to healthcare services, exacerbated by socio-economic challenges and mobility issues. This project is designed to address these barriers by providing comprehensive healthcare services, including medical consultations, regular home visits, and specialized care tailored to the needs of individuals aged 60 and above. By ensuring continuous medical follow-up, the initiative seeks to improve health outcomes and quality of life for this vulnerable population.
Objectives:
- To select qualified medical service providers capable of delivering high-quality healthcare services within the Beddawi and Baalbeck camps.
- To provide consistent and accessible medical follow-up for elderly individuals aged 60 and above.
- To promote better health outcomes and enhanced well-being among elderly camp residents.
Scope of Services: The selected service provider(s) will be responsible for:
- Providing in-clinic medical consultations tailored to elderly patients’ needs within accessible locations in Beddawi and Baalbeck camps.
- Conducting regular home visits for bedridden or mobility-impaired elderly individuals to ensure they receive ongoing care.
- Offering specialized medical care, including geriatric assessments, chronic disease management, and medication adjustments.
- Maintaining detailed and secure medical records for each patient, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.
- Delivering monthly progress and outcome reports to the project management team, including challenges and recommendations.
