Call for Digital Marketing and Social Media Consultant - Food System Challenge

Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in Lebanon's Entrepreneurial Ecosystem that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting. Hence, Berytech is taking part in the country's economic revival, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

About FSC PROJECT

The Food System Challenge supports businesses to solve core challenges of the food system in Lebanon, and more specifically in the sectors of dairy and meat production (cow, goat, sheep), cereals and pulses (and its by-products), protected horticulture (Classical green houses, hydroponics, and aquaponics), and domesticated edible herbs and plants.

The Food System Challenge is implemented by the World Food Programme (WFP) and Berytech through support from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Throughout FSC’s previous and current cycles, the program supported over 40 SMEs to fortify the Lebanese food system to create a more sustainable ecosystem.

SME Background

Bionord SARL, established in 2020, is a Lebanese dairy production company specializing in high-quality, additive-free dairy products, including traditional Lebanese dairy items and its new product line, Greek yogurt. To strengthen its market presence, diversify its customer base, and promote its unique selling proposition, Bionord seeks the services of a professional digital marketing and social media consultant to develop and execute a robust marketing strategy.

This consultancy is part of Bionord’s growth and transformation roadmap under the Food System Challenge (FSC) program, aimed at increasing visibility, driving sales, and creating a strong brand presence in local and regional markets.

Objective

The consultancy aims to develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing and social media strategy that enhances Bionord’s brand presence, supports the introduction of Greek yogurt, and drives engagement, sales, and customer loyalty.

Scope of work

The consultant will provide services in the following areas:

  1. Digital Marketing Strategy Development
    • Assess Bionord's current digital marketing practices and identify gaps.
    • Develop a holistic digital marketing strategy tailored to Bionord's brand values and business goals.
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign success.
  2. Social Media Management
    • Create and manage content calendars for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
    • Design engaging and visually appealing content, including posts, stories, and videos, aligned with Bionord’s commitment to quality and authenticity.
  3. Product Launch Campaign
    • Develop a targeted digital campaign to introduce Greek yogurt, highlighting its health benefits and unique qualities.
    • Plan and execute promotional activities, including giveaways, collaborations and in-store activations.
    • Leverage analytics to adjust strategies in real-time for maximum impact.
  4. Brand Development and Awareness
    • Strengthen Bionord's brand identity through storytelling and authentic communication.
    • Showcase Bionord’s commitment to sustainability, support for local farmers, and use of 100% fresh milk.
    • Align messaging with current market trends favoring local and natural products.

    • Train Bionord’s in-house team to manage digital marketing tools effectively.
    • Provide guidelines and templates for ongoing content creation and campaign management.

DurationThe selected Consultant is expected to start their activities as soon as possible after selection (the effective date is to be confirmed), and the contract duration is up to 5 months. Key Deliverables

  1. Digital Marketing Plan

A comprehensive strategy document with objectives, timelines, and metrics.

  1. Content Calendar

A 6-month calendar detailing content themes, post types, and schedules.

  1. Campaign Launch Report

A report summarizing campaign outcomes, engagement rates, and recommendations for improvement.

  1. Training Materials

Manuals, templates, and presentations for internal team training.

  1. Final Consultancy Report

A summary of activities, insights, and recommendations for future marketing initiatives.

 Qualifications:

The selected consultant should have:

  • Proven expertise in digital marketing and social media strategy development.
  • Experience working with SMEs, particularly in the food and beverage or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong creative and analytical skills to design and measure effective campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Lebanese and regional markets is preferred.

Timeline And Application
The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities soon after selection; the exact timeline and effective working days are to be set based on both the company’s and the Consultant’s availabilities. The total budget allocated for the intervention is between $4,000 and $4,500.

Candidates should submit the following documents.

  • Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in the section: “Scope of Work, Duration, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
  • Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs should be included as an annex) along with project references on the topic.
  • Financial Proposal describing the expected remuneration and the proposed timeframe of the intervention. Quotations in response to this RFP must be priced on a Level-of-effort (Number of working days) term contract, all-inclusive basis, including delivery and all other costs. Pricing must be presented in USD and offers must remain valid for not less than 30 calendar days after the offer deadline. Offerors are requested to provide quotations on their official quotation format or letterhead.
