Context & Background

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

Annahar is making use of its existing platform and content to optimize the use and consumption of the digital content (reducing digital carbon footprint per user & overall). The online academy will also equip community members with skills from renown instructors in Arabic contributing to the creation of job opportunities.

Scope of Work

The main objective of the consultancy is to conduct an online academy plan by providing the following services:

  • Define the Vision and Goals:
    • Identify the Target Audience: Understand who the academy will serve (e.g., professionals, students, hobbyists) from Lebanon and the Arab world mainly.
    • Clarify Learning Objectives: What do students need to achieve by taking these courses? Are the goals to upskill, reskill, or educate from scratch?
    • Competitive Analysis: Evaluate existing online academies to determine what differentiates the new one. This can include curriculum structure, pricing, teaching style, or technology integration.
  • Course Creation Strategy:
    • Curriculum Development: Help design the curriculum by identifying the skills, topics, and knowledge areas that are most in demand and align with the target audience's needs
    • Content Creation: Advise on how to create or source content. This might involve:
      • Creating lesson plans and scripts for instructors.
      • Recommending multimedia formats such as videos, quizzes, interactive elements, and downloadable resources.
      • Ensuring all materials adhere to instructional design principles for online learning.
      • Duration
      • Script style / hooks / promo content
    • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Identify or collaborate with partners (universities, Google, Facebook,…)  to develop high-quality course content. (afterward)
  • Platform Selection and Setup
    • Choosing the Right LMS (Learning Management System): Guide in selecting the best platform (like Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, Moodle) based on the academy's needs (e.g., scalability, ease of use, features, budget) or should we customize our existing CMS which is a better option for us, including setting up the user interface, student dashboard, and integrations like payment gateways.
  • Monetization and Pricing Strategy
    • Determine Pricing Models: Help set the pricing structure (subscription-based, one-time payment, freemium models) based on market research, competitive analysis, and audience purchasing behavior.
  • Marketing and Launch Strategy
    • Branding and Messaging: Create a compelling brand and value proposition for the academy.
    • Content Marketing: Develop a strategy for blog posts, social media campaigns, and video marketing to build awareness.
    • SEO and SEM: Optimize the online academy’s website for search engines and help run paid campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to attract students
    • Marketing Campaigns: Help set up and run funnels to convert leads into paying students.
    • Influencer Partnerships & Affiliate Programs: Collaborate with influencers in the education or industry-specific niche to promote courses or set up affiliate programs.

Deliverables

Deliverable 1: Vision and Strategy Document

  • A comprehensive document outlining the academy’s vision, goals, target audience, learning objectives, and competitive analysis.
  • This would include research findings on competitors and a clear value proposition differentiating the academy from others.

Deliverable 2: Course Curriculum and Content Plan

  • A detailed curriculum development plan that outlines the structure, key topics, skills, and knowledge areas for each course.
  • A content creation strategy with guidelines on lesson plan formats, multimedia elements (videos, quizzes, etc.), and collaboration plans with Subject Matter Experts.

Deliverable 3: Platform Selection and Setup Guide

  • A report with recommendations on the best Learning Management System (LMS) or customization of an existing CMS.
  • Detailed steps for setting up the platform, including the user interface, payment gateways, and required integrations.

Deliverable 4: Monetization and Marketing Strategy

  • A pricing and monetization model tailored to the market, including competitive pricing structures and audience purchasing behavior.
  • A marketing plan that covers branding, content marketing, SEO/SEM, influencer partnerships, and strategies to launch the academy.

Qualifications

  • E-Learning Expertise: Proven experience in designing and developing online courses across various subjects or industries. This includes creating lesson plans, learning objectives, assessments, and interactive content.
  • The service provider should have at least 5 years of experience in developing online learning plans and in setting online marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, content marketing) and partnerships (influencers, affiliate programs) to attract and retain students.
  • Professionalism and Ethics: Adherence to professional standards, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
  • Company profile highlighting relevant qualifications and experience
  • A portfolio or samples of previous online courses development
  • Use of tools and methods to finalize the consultancy mission with the support of the beneficiary
  • Applications to this proposal can be from independent trainers/consultants, Corporate or Agency

How to apply

The selected Consultant is expected to start his/her activities at the soonest after selection, and the contract’s duration is 3 months, covering a minimum of 30 hours, with a budget of up to 4,730 Euro.  

Candidates should submit the following documents:

  • Technical (maximum two pages) describing the methodology to conduct the work based on the content suggested in the section: “Scope of Work, and Deliverables” elaborating it further.
  • Profile and project references (maximum two pages): A brief explanation of the consultant(s) background should be submitted (CVs shall be included as an annex) along with project references on the topic.
  • Financial Proposal describing the expected remuneration divided as per the deliverables above and the proposed period of the intervention.
