I’mpossible is partnering with PCPM under an LHF-funded project to address unmet multi-sectoral needs in Wadi Khaled, Jered El Qayteh and Sahel Akkar focusing on the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly and Persons with Specific Needs (PWSN).

As part of this project, I’m Possible is committed to equipping its staff with the essential skills needed to identify risks and seize opportunities, while strengthening internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes. These efforts aim to ensure both financial accountability and operational efficiency.

The organization is focused on optimizing project implementation by enhancing reporting and monitoring systems, as well as building staff capacity to track both financial and programmatic indicators. This approach will help ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the project's goals, ultimately improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the interventions.

 

Description:

  1. Purpose of the assignment:
    I’mpossible is seeking a consultant to deliver a 3-day training on "Reporting, Monitoring and evaluation and data analysis" to equip staff with the necessary skills to develop and manage effective monitoring systems and produce high-quality reports.
  2. Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing a 3-day training curriculum that covers:
    1. Introduce data analysis methods for both qualitative and quantitative data. Guide participants in interpreting data findings and drawing conclusions based on data analysis.
    2. Conduct an assessment of available statistical analysis tools and software considering the specific needs and capacity of the organization. Provide a detailed overview of the options, including their respective strengths, limitations, potential subscription/fee requirements, and the level of training needed for effective use.
    3. Provide a session on best practices for creating concise, and impactful Monitoring & Evaluation reports that communicate key insights to stakeholders.
    4. Emphasize the importance of visualizing data using tools such as graphs, charts, and infographics to enhance clarity and ensure findings are communicated effectively.
    5. Introduce the concept of impact evaluation, explaining its significance in measuring the effectiveness of interventions and assessing long-term outcomes.
    6. Support participants in creating an M&E plan that is customized to the specific needs and context of the project.
  • Deliver the training using interactive and participatory methods, such as presentations, group discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, to ensure active engagement.
  • Provide comprehensive training materials such as presentation slides, templates, and practical tools for M&E proactive budget management.
  • Design and conduct pre- and post-training assessments to measure participants' progress in M&E and budget management skills.
  • Submit a detailed final report that summarizes key outcomes, participant feedback, and actionable recommendations for improving M&E and budget management practices.

     

Deliverables:

  • A comprehensive, adaptable template for developing a Monitoring & Evaluation plan, tailored to the specific needs, goals, and context of the organization. The template should be user-friendly and flexible to accommodate various program types and scales.
  • A detailed summary of the concept of impact evaluation, including its significance in assessing program effectiveness, understanding long-term outcomes, and measuring program impact. The document should also cover key methodologies and approaches commonly used in impact evaluation.
  • A thorough guide outlining both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods, with clear explanations of their applications, strengths, and limitations. The guide should include practical examples to help participants choose the most appropriate methods for their M&E needs.
  • A comprehensive report detailing participant feedback, learning outcomes, and recommendations.

 

Duration of the consultancy:  3 days training

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, or a related field. A relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), with a focus on humanitarian projects, including extensive hands-on experience in designing M&E frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing M&E frameworks, including baseline studies, impact assessments, and ensuring regular, systematic reporting on project indicators to assess progress and outcomes.
  • Proven track recording in developing and delivering training programs on M&E frameworks including practical skills for tracking and evaluating project performance against pre-defined indicators.
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt materials to different learning styles.
  • Ability to deliver on tight time frames and meet deadlines within agreed budgets.
  • Substantive and linguistic quality of all materials and reports prepared.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and compliance standards and best practices in ensuring transparency and accountability in M&E processes.
