I’mpossible is partnering with PCPM under an LHF-funded project to address unmet multi-sectoral needs in Wadi Khaled, Jered El Qayteh and Sahel Akkar focusing on the most vulnerable populations, including the elderly and Persons with Specific Needs (PWSN).

As part of this project, I’m Possible is committed to equipping its staff with the essential skills needed to identify risks and seize opportunities, while strengthening fundraising practices, internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes. These efforts aim to ensure both financial accountability and operational efficiency.

The organization is focused on optimizing project implementation by enhancing reporting and monitoring systems, as well as building staff capacity to track both financial and programmatic indicators. This approach will help ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the project's goals, ultimately improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the interventions.

Description:

  1. Purpose of the assignment:
    I’mpossible is seeking a qualified consultant to deliver a 3-day training on Fundraising Strategies aimed at enhancing the financial acumen of project teams and equip the organization with the necessary skills to develop and manage effective fundraising strategies.
  2. Key Responsibilities:

-Designing a 3-day training curriculum that covers:

  • How to create a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with organizational mission and goals.
  • Mapping and exploring different funding streams - understanding their differences and providing guidance on how to approach each effectively (individual donors, foundations, corporations, events, and government grants).
  • Researching and identifying grant opportunities, including how to prepare strong and compelling grant proposals. Emphasis on tailoring proposals to specific funders and understanding donor’s allocations and priorities.
  • Best practices for conducting online fundraising campaigns, including email marketing, social media outreach, and optimizing digital channels for fundraising.
  • How to use crowdfunding platforms effectively to raise funds from a wide audience and raise funds for specific projects.
  • Leveraging social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) to drive engagement, build relationships with potential donors, and increase donations.

-Delivering the 3-day training program through interactive and engaging methods, including:

  • Presentations with real-world examples.
  • Group discussions and collaborative work.
  • Case studies to analyze successful fundraising campaigns.
  • Hands-on exercises that allow participants to practice creating fundraising plans and proposals.

-Providing the following materials to support the training program:

  • Presentation slides that summarize key concepts and strategies.
  • Templates for developing fundraising plans, proposals, and budgets.

-Suggesting tools for researching donors, managing donor relationships, and tracking fundraising performance.

-Facilitating pre- and post-training assessments to measure participants' progress in fundraising  management skills.

-Submitting a final report that summarizes key outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations for improving fundraising practices, including any suggested follow-up actions or additional training needs related to fundraising and proposal writing.

 

Deliverables:

  • A comprehensive curriculum covering the outlined topics: fundraising plan development, funding streams, grant research and proposal writing, crowdfunding, and social media strategies. The curriculum should include detailed session plans, key learning objectives, and suggested timelines for each day of training.
  • PowerPoint and presentations that summarize key concepts and strategies from the training.
  • Templates for creating fundraising plans, grant proposals, budgets, and donor engagement strategies customized to the needs of the organization.
  • A comprehensive report detailing participant feedback, learning outcomes, and recommendations.

Duration of the consultancy:  3 days training

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies for nonprofit organizations, with expertise in traditional and digital fundraising methods.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in budget management, financial planning, designing and delivering training programs focused on fundraising, grant writing, and nonprofit financial sustainability. Experience with popular crowdfunding platforms and social media tools for fundraising.
  • Strong background in grant writing, including successful proposal development for diverse funding sources.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and compliance standards.
  • Ability to adapt training content to the specific needs and capacity of the organization.
