Position: Community Mobilizer
Location: Beirut, Lebanon
Duration: 3 months
Reporting to: Project Manager
Salary: 1400$
Overview:
The Community Mobilizer will support COOPI in achieving the expected results of the project, working closely with local authorities, community stakeholders, and project partners. This role involves active participation in all phases of activity implementation, field engagement, and ensuring effective community involvement and feedback mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in planning and executing project activities in coordination with COOPI staff.
- Liaise with local authorities, partners, community members, and COOPI staff to maintain smooth operations and alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct frequent field visits to monitor community involvement and ensure partners are supported effectively.
- Assist partners in organizing and implementing project activities, ensuring they align with project goals and community needs.
- Help organize and participate in partner meetings and working group sessions, contributing insights to advance project goals.
- Inform community members about project objectives, scope, strategy, and expected outcomes, while also overseeing the Feedback and Complaint Mechanism.
- Work directly with beneficiaries in the field to support activity implementation and gather feedback.
- Collect data accurately on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring timely reporting.
- Attend regular meetings with the Project Manager and COOPI staff to provide updates and insights on field activities.
- Document success stories, challenges, and lessons learned in each phase of program implementation to share with the broader team.
- Manage all logistics related to the assigned tasks, coordinating effectively with COOPI and partners.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project implementation.
- Report any urgent matters requiring immediate attention to the Project Manager.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in community mobilization or social work activities.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization effectively at the field level.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Valid driving license and ability to drive.
- Flexible with working hours and adaptable to changing project needs.
- Prior experience with national or international NGOs is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of COOPI’s mission and approach is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the Beirut area and its communities is highly desirable.
