ABOUT ABAAD
ABAAD– Resource Center for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD advocates for the development and implementation of policies and laws that enhance women’s effective participation, through a rights-based approach that would bring about tangible change to gender justice. With the purpose of ending gender-based violence, ABAAD adopts a holistic care approach to provide protection and support services to GBV survivors/right holders during times of peace, war and disasters since 2011.
OVERALL GOAL OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
Lebanon has been facing multiple crisis since 2020; from socioeconomic deteriorations to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Beirut Blast. The collective impact has increased women and girls’ vulnerabilities and risks of gender-based violence (GBV). To address this, ABAAD is seeking to provide livelihood activities for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) residing in safe shelters, aiming for their skill development and empowerment and eventual reintegration into society.
ABAAD is seeking to implement Resin trainings to residents in each shelter to gain necessary skills in Resin to initiate income generating opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The trainer's responsibilities will include:
- Designing the Curriculum
- Develop a comprehensive outline in Arabic, covering various aspects of theoretical information and fundamental techniques in Resin Art.
- Create training materials, presentations and agendas.
- Providing Interactive Training
- Conduct sessions that introduce the basics of Resin Art techniques
- Enhance the participants’ skills and capacities in producing resin items including epoxy resin, resin pigments, and molds to produce different items such as gadgets, accessories, decoration…etc.
- Utilize participatory methods and practical exercises to foster creative guidance, skills building and income generation.
- Enhance the participants’ skills in proper packaging of the produced items.
- Material purchase, management and setup
- Purchase the materials and tools needed for Resin Art (Fee will include the cost of the materials purchased – to be highlighted clearly in the financial offer)
- Preparing a Final Report
- Prepare a final report that summarizes the training results, participants' observations, and recommendations for future training.

- Basics of Resin Art: Equip participants with the fundamental information in regards of creating resin items.
- Outcome: Participants are aware of the basic design techniques.
- Business Development Training: Enable participants to practically produce different resin items.
- Outcome: Participants gain the tools and techniques needed to design a collection of resin art products suitable for the market.
PORTFOLIO SKILLS REQUIRED
- University degree in Arts (Desired) or any related experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Resin Art
- Ability to Conduct Effective Assessments and Provide Constructive Feedback
- Proven expertise in mentorship and training facilitation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Female trainer
SELECTION AND EVALUATION PROCESS:
Evaluation:
Upon passing the initial 'go' decision based on eligibility, the evaluation will proceed in two distinct parts: technical and financial. The technical evaluation will assess the relevance and adequacy of the proposed approach and the expertise of the consultant, ensuring alignment with the assignment’s objectives and requirements. The financial evaluation will review the cost-effectiveness and overall budget feasibility. Both sections must be satisfactorily addressed for a bid to be considered for award.
A- Technical Evaluation:
Bidders must submit the mandatory requirements. These documents and the information therein will be used to conduct the technical evaluation based on the following considerations:

- Those who meet the score threshold of 50% will proceed to the evaluation of the financial proposal.

- B- Financial Proposal:
All Bidders should provide/submit the Financial Proposal/ Quote in a separate file while including the following information:

- Bidders must quote for the Cost of Materials separately/ show a separate line for each category.
- Bidders to indicate Lead Times (number of days) needed to deliver to designated focal points full consignment from the date of contract signing.
- Bidders to clearly state the quote validity period. The prices for the contract are fixed and not subject to revision.
- To get maximum score bidders are encouraged to ensure all the above information and instructions are clearly stated and included in the financial proposal.
