Position’s mission:

The Recruitment Officer will be supporting in the recruitment of national staff and volunteers for the mission during the emergency phase, ensuring the implementation of policies and best practices.

Reports to: HR Manager

Interacts with: HR team, project managers, support services team, external candidates

 

Missions / Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1: Carry out recruitment processes of national staff and volunteers in accordance to HI procedures during emergency

Objective: to ensure an effective recruitment during emergency phase respecting the HI policies and procedures

Activities:

  • Assisting line managers to write job descriptions and recruitment request form which reflects the requirement of the position.
  • Launching recruitment processes and ensure compliance to HI procedure and policy including emergency recruitment process.
  • Conducting the whole recruitment process with the line managers (announcement, shortlist, interviews, CV weighing, reference checks and job offers).
  • Ensuring effective, high quality and transparent recruitment processes are in place within the mission.
  • Giving support and coaching on recruitment process to managers and relevant mission staff.
  • Support in updating the recruitment report and preparing for the monthly report.
  • Ensure proper documentation of recruitment process and proper archiving (both physical and electronic).
  • Assist in preparation of pool of candidate ready to deploy in case of emergency.
  • Coordinating internal mobility process of national staff within the missions.

Responsibility 2: Insure a proper induction for new joiners

Objective:  to ensure a good onboarding proceed for all new joiners and make sure they inducted to the organization

Activities:

  • Coordinate induction of newly recruited staff, with proper plan and meetings in coordination with the line manager.
  • Ensure that all mandatory trainings are completed by new staff.
  • Ensure That PSEC and safeguarding trainings are delivered of new staff.
  • Participate / support in the HR induction of new staff.
  • Coordinate with HR Officer for paperwork preparations (contract, internal documents, registration…).

Responsibility 3: Support the administrative data management

Activities:

  • Support the HR officer in the management of employee’s data including filing, scanning, and achieving of employees.
  • Support in the management of volunteers including attendance and request for payment.
  • Support in any other admin task when needed.

Confidentiality and transparency are required in all these responsibilities

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Essential: Degree in HR, business administration or any related field

Experience:

  • Essential: Minimum of 3-years’ experience in recruitment.
  • Essential: Experience working with NGOs
  • Desirable: highly desirable to have experience in emergency response.

Language:

  • Essential: English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written)

Professional skills for Humanitarian Access and Security:

  • Essential: Good knowledge of recruitment process and practices.
  • Essential: Good communication and interpersonal skills including verbal and writing communication.

Cross-sector skills:

  • Essential: Stress management
  • Essential: Ability to analyze and summarize information
  • Essential: Office automation and IT tools

Basic salary ranges for the position is going to be paid according to the experience and to HI salary Grid.

Basic Salary: Starting 1,700 USD
