Purpose of the position
Reporting to the Programme Manager in Lebanon country office, the Communication and Admin Intern will support the daily operations of the communication and administrative functions within Diakonia’s programme management in Lebanon country office. This role involves a combination of tasks related to programme internal and external communication, as well as providing administrative support to ensure smooth programme communications and operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with the programme manager and partners to learn about their activities and projects.
- Assist in drafting and editing programme internal and external communication materials, including emails, newsletters, and announcements.
- Assist in data entry and maintenance of databases.
- Document photos, short videos and stories, the work of partners.
- Create and write contents and stories of change in English and Arabic.
- Support the programme/s planning and execution of events, webinars, and other communication initiatives.
- Conduct research to gather information for current and future project/s.
- Conduct interviews with partners and rightsholders
- Provide general administrative support to the programme management and the manager.
- Maintain and organize programme/s files, documents, and platform records.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating partner meetings, events, and appointments.
- Performing any other duty as delegated by the Programme Manager
Essential experience and qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communication, media, business administration, or a related field.
- Bilingual strong Arabic and English written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online communication tools.
- 0-2 year’s relevant experience in media, communication, branding, and administration.
