About Helem
Helem, is the first LGBTQIA+ rights organization in the Arab world, officially established in Beirut, Lebanon in 2001. Its mission is to lead the struggle for the liberation of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Intersex, Transgendered, Queer (LGBTQIA+) and other people with non-conforming sexualities and/or gender identities in Lebanon and the SWANA region from all sorts of violations of their individual and collective civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. Our goal is to empower young LGBTQIA+ leaders to advocate for their own liberation. We seek to create initiatives and spaces where our communities can leverage unity through diversity and build power. We protect and support individuals with the resources to resist the harm caused by homophobia and transphobia. We empower our youth through education and community building, and we mobilize to change the laws, policies, and practices that deny us equality and reduce our quality of life.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our team for one month. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, a keen eye for visual aesthetics, and the ability to transform complex information into engaging and visually appealing presentations and reports.

Responsibilities
As a Graphic Designer for Helem, you will be responsible for the following:

Powerful Presentation Design

• In collaboration with the Helem team, develop and craft PowerPoint presentations tailored for a Helem training program, ensuring alignment with Helem's brand identity.
• Utilize design best practices and principles to develop layouts that enhance content readability and engagement.
• Apply innovative visual elements to capture and maintain the audience's attention throughout the presentations.

Content Consultation

• Collaborate with the content team to understand the training material and the flow of information.
• Provide expert insights on visual content strategies that contribute to creating compelling and impactful presentations.
• Ensure a cohesive narrative that communicates information effectively through visual elements.

Data Visualization

• Develop clear and intuitive data visualizations that simplify complex information and enhance comprehension.
• Translate data and statistics into graphical representations that support the narrative of the presentations.
• Ensure that all visualizations are accurate, easy to understand, and visually aligned with the overall design.

Brand Consistency

• Infuse Helem's brand identity and guidelines into all design deliverables to ensure a consistent and professional visual representation.
• Design PowerPoint presentations that resonate with Helem's visual style, colors, and imagery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in PowerPoint presentation design and data visualization.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interpret feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Helem's mission and values is a plus.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work within tight deadlines.
