LEBANON TRADE & INVESTMENT FACILITATION (TIF) PROJECT - CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP - ANNUAL PROGRAM STATEMENT (APS) - 02 - AMENDMENT - 01

About the USAID-Funded Trade & Investment Facilitation (TIF) Project in Lebanon: The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Lebanon’s Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) works to enhance economic opportunities by facilitating trade and investment in targeted business sectors resulting in job creation and increased incomes for Lebanese citizens – with a strong focus on enhancing women’s workforce participation. TIF works to achieve three objectives: 1) Increased exports of Lebanese goods and services, 2) Facilitate investment leading to increased domestic investment, and 3) Improved the business and investment enabling environment. 

Description of Annual Project Statement (APS): The APS is an invitation for prospective partners to submit competitive Development Plans to receive TIF project support. This APS will be open for one year. TIF will be receiving and evaluating Development Plans on a rolling basis. The length of the proposed activities may be up to two and a half years but cannot go beyond April 30, 2025 as a result of this amendment. TIF supports Lebanese business sector associations - clusters or groups of enterprises, syndicates, service providers with unique and innovative ideas, non- governmental organizations and companies to increase sales and exports, create employment and support economic growth in Lebanon.

TIF employs a facilitative, market-led approach that supports Lebanese businesses throughout the country in high-impact and productive export sectors, including: (1) Agro-Food Processing, (2) Manufacturing, (3) Knowledge Economy and Services*, and (4) Tourism and Hospitality.

*Knowledge Economy includes but is not limited to: Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), Media and Creative Services. Media and Creative Services, as part of Knowledge Economy, includes but is not limited to: Advertising, Digital Media, Production and Post-Production, Architecture, Design and Fashion. Business Services includes but is not limited to: Franchising, Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) and Consulting.
