About this Call for Interest:
The Socio-Economic Justice Initiative-MAAN invites dynamic university students who are interested and active in civil, humanitarian, and political activism to be part of MAAN’s Seminars in Beirut. 
As part of The Socio-Economic Justice Initiative-MAAN strategy to build the accountability and citizen engagement culture, MAAN is implementing a series of seminars targeting active youngsters. The main objective of this project is to build a generation of young citizens, active, knowledgeable, and skilled to hold the government accountable and create wider participatory avenues for change in Lebanon through the provision of knowledge, resources, opportunity, and space for youth. Moreover, it aims to activate common citizenship to inspire social accountability, ownership, and strategy in the reform of policies and to guide and support young activists in their grassroots community to become more resilient and sustainable in their accountability pursuit.

The seminars will allow you to:

- Equip you with a package of information, skills, and tools on topics that are interlinked to improve your civic participation and knowledge. 
- Expose you to best practices and case studies through trainers/speakers from reliable civil society practitioners with no political agenda.
- Help you access sustainable networks and resources to develop technical capacity and engage with the political system. 
- Build your accountability and citizen engagement culture to be more efficient, sustainable, and resilient to challenges. 
- Give you opportunities to engage with other activists as well as with individuals of different socio-economic and regional backgrounds.
- Allow you to be working on the discussed issues by creating material relevant to your interest and region with the help of mentors and continued connection with your trainers/speakers.

MAAN is calling for university students from all over Lebanon between the ages of 17-24 who are independent and active to participate and be part of these dynamic seminars (20 participants will be selected on a rolling basis). The sessions will take place on weekday afternoons at MAAN’s office in Beirut.

Youth who fall under the above criteria are invited to express their interest in being part of the project by 13 January 2022.

تدعو مبادرة العدالة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية- معاً طلاب/طالبات الجامعات النشط في العمل المدني، الإنساني، أو السياسي ليكون جزءاً من سلسلة ندوات ستقام في بيروت.

كجزء من استراتيجية مبادرة العدالة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية-معاً لبناء ثقافة المساءلة وإشراك المواطنين، قامت جمعية معاً بتطوير سلسلة من الندوات التفاعلية مستهدفة طلاب/طالبات الجامعات الناشط. الهدف الرئيسي من هذا المشروع هو بناء جيل من المواطنين الشباب الناشطين وخلق سبل تشاركية أوسع للتغيير في لبنان من خلال توفير المعرفة والموارد والفرص لهم. تهدف الأكاديمية إلى تعزيز ودعم وقيادة الشباب الناشطين وتحسين وصولهم إلى الشبكات المحلية والوطنية، وذلك من خلال سلسلة من الجلسات وورش العمل. كما تهدف الأكاديمية إلى تفعيل المواطنة المشتركة لإلهام المساءلة، وإصلاح السياسات وتوجيه ودعم الشباب في لبنان ليصبحوا أكثر استدامة في سعيهم للمساءلة.

ستقوم الندوات بتزويدك بما يلي:

• تزويدك بمجموعة من المعلومات والمهارات والأدوات حول مواضيع مترابطة لتحسين مشاركتك ومعرفتك المدنية.
• تعريفك على أفضل الممارسات من خلال مدربين / متحدثين من ممارسي المجتمع المدني الموثوقين دون وجود أجندة سياسية.
• مساعدتك في الوصول إلى الشبكات والموارد المستدامة لتطوير القدرات التقنية والمشاركة مع النظام السياسي.
• بناء ثقافة المساءلة وإشراك المواطنين لتكون أكثر كفاءة واستدامة ومرونة للتحديات.
• منحك فرصاً للتفاعل مع نشطاء آخرين وكذلك مع أفراد من خلفيات اجتماعية واقتصادية ومناطقية مختلفة.
• مساعدتك على العمل على القضايا التي تمت مناقشتها من خلال إنشاء مواد ذات صلة باهتماماتك ومنطقتك بمساعدة المختصين والتواصل المستمر مع المدربين / المتحدثين.

تدعو معاً طلاب / طالبات الجامعات من جميع أنحاء لبنان الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين17 و 24عاماً والذين هم مستقلين ونشطين للمشاركة وليكونوا جزءاً من هذه الندوات الديناميكية (سيتم اختيار 20 مشارك ومشاركة على أساس دوري). يتكون المشروع من سلسلة ندوات مكثفة ستقام في أيام الإسبوع خلال فترة بعد الظهر في مكتب معاً في بيروت.  

كيفية التقديم:

الشباب الذين يندرجون تحت المعايير المذكورة أعلاه مدعوون للتعبير عن اهتمامهم بأن يكونوا جزءاً من المشروع  قبل: 13 يناير 2022.
