Therapist- Tripoli "Improving Mental Health and Well-Being of People Living In Lebanon" phase II

Technical

• Properly assess, diagnose, support and treat mental health and substance use cases
• Build rapport with SU and MH beneficiaries to ensure confidentiality, secure trust and provide them with non-judgmental support
• Provide the service-user with the treatment agreement, service guide book (remove and put information folder), urine drug screen pamphlet, Buprenorphine pamphlet (when required)
• Coordinate with Psychiatrist/ social worker to set a treatment plan for service-users Work directly with the case-management team, the nurse and the Psychiatrist to develop individualized intervention plans.
• Educate the service-user on addiction and effects on the body and mental health
• Perform counseling for the service-user and mental health beneficiaries on a weekly/biweekly basis or as needed (psycho education, harm reduction intervention, overdose information and prevention, case management, awareness on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality and psychotic disorder)
• Document accurately and legibly all progress notes to include but not limited to counseling sessions, therapeutic interventions, treatment plans and other relevant information in the Client Management System
• Discuss SU and MH beneficiaries treatment progress during weekly clinical supervision sessions
• Meet and coordinate with the beneficiary’s family and significant others to ascertain the level of support they'll have towards the beneficiary through their treatment journey
• Coordinate with the Nurse on urine tests results and the service user’s sessions, for substance use cases
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders when needed to discuss treatment plan (such as employer, lawyer etc.)
• Coordinate with the drug policy department at Skoun for court referred cases for substance use
• Discharge service-users based on discharge policies and procedures
• Maintain a good level of self-care that includes provision for dealing with conflict and feelings generated through the job (e.g. psychotherapy, counseling, self-help groups, etc.)
• Perform other duties directed by the line manager
• Participate in the supervision provided by the Deputy MHPSS and case discussions with the Psychiatrist in addition to the team meeting

Operational:

• Support in conducting assessment in the area of interventions (reviewing of tools, data collection …)
• Monthly reporting on mental health and substance use activities
• Participate in network/coordination meetings concerning mental health and substance use.
• Assist in the development of effective referral systems.
• Daily data collection and entry, respecting deadlines
• Ensure that emergency cases are properly taken care of, referred and followed.
• Make sure the appointment are properly schedules and respected
• Commit with clinical documentation and protocols of all individual and other MH/SU activities.
• Design, organize and implement group support
• Participate in the development and implementation of preventive activities
