ROLE PURPOSE:

The Recruiter will continuously partner with hiring managers to refine and implement innovative recruiting strategies while managing the full-cycle recruitment activities.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Human Resources Coordinator

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Recruitment Process

  • Monitor and constantly participate to reducing the costs of the recruitment process.
  • Support in building effective relationships with social and professional networks to source qualified candidates.
  • Review job descriptions, get confirmation on recruitment channels, package pay and selection process.
  • Carry out the recruitment process of staff and volunteers.
  • Oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Conduct interviews for Assistant and Officer level and support in other interviews as needed.
  • Support in managing the onboarding process.
  • Support managing hard to fill positions.
  • Support delivering “hiring managers’ recruitment training”
  • Support during emergencies by responding faster to HR needs and to deploy with the required set of skills as fast as possible.
  • Ensures compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Manages Internship program.

Safe recruitment minimum standards

  • Incorporate Safer recruitment as part of Quality Framework Essential Standards.
  • Ensure recruitment and selection process respect the minimum standards of safe recruitment of Save the Children International.
  • Make sure candidates are aware of the Safeguarding Policies and the Code of Conduct at interview stage.
  • Ensure new joiners have submitted requested documents and signed all requested forms including the Child safeguarding policy, & the code of conduct.

Data Management and reporting

  • Maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects.
  • Maintain an updated online recruitment tracker on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure all job descriptions are updated by line managers and head of departments and are compliant with internal policies.
  • Develop interview questions bank for each level and field of expertise.
  • Ensure recruitment documents are updated and filed in hard and soft copies.

Other HR support

  • Support HR team in the field offices and ensure full compliance with the recruitment process.
  • Make use of all available policies, practices, checklists and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English and Arabic.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in Human resources with 1 years’ experience in recruitment.
  • Preferably with experience in managing recruitments during emergencies.
  • Recruiting and interviewing skills.
  • Experience in using recruitment systems, preferably Taleo.
  • Supports workplace diversity.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment Law.
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills.
  • Attention to details and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and building relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to Save the Children values.
