Project Coordinator

Scope of the assignment

The Project Coordinator will work under the supervision of KAFA’s director and will be responsible of the following:

• Provide technical leadership related to the design, planning, implementation and overall management of the assigned project(s);
• Oversee the planning and implementation of  the project(s), ensuring quality in all aspects of the projects;
• Coordinate and allocate duties for related staff ensuring efficiency and success of the project;
• Undertake regular monitoring field visits including team meetings for planning and reporting purposes (it should be noted that weekly visits to the Bekaa region are mandatory in order to oversee projects that are implemented by KAFA’s Centre in the Bekaa) ;
• Monitor project progress and implementation and ensure necessary documentation;
• Ensure timely delivery of all project targets and outputs as required;
• Respond to arising challenges by taking necessary measures and consult with project team and KAFA’s director when necessary;
• Facilitate monitoring and evaluation missions as requested in the project(s) or by the donor(s);
• Act as KAFA’s focal point for donors, local authorities and other stakeholders;
• Assist the Financial team in elaborating financial reports as well as eventual project budgets;
• Prepare narrative reports as requested internally or by donors;
• Ensure that reports are of good quality and completed on time, promoting good understanding about progress within each activity, established partnerships, faced challenges and contingency plans as well as other details as requested internally or externally. 
• Attend workshops and trainings when asked for;
• Form a strong collaboration with partner organizations when needed, which includes signing written agreements that outline the scope of intervention as well as a focal point for each of the partners;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by KAFA’s director.
