The Consultant will work for 8 working days, preparing and delivering trainings on GBV and disability as well as designing one awareness session curriculum on the same topic.

Background: The consultant will be delivering GBV and disability trainings and designing awareness session curriculum as part of GAC program which includes a component of GBV awareness raising to people with disability (PWD). 

Purpose:  The purpose of this scope of work is to support the procurement of the services of the GBV and disability Training Consultant to plan for, travel to and/or implement the GBV and disability training to IMC outreach volunteers (OVs), as well as designing GBV awareness session for PWD. 

Task Description: Consultant will serve as the Disability and GBV Trainer in Lebanon country program.  Specifically, Consultant will complete the following tasks

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, prepare and plan for the delivery of 3 GBV and disability Training in person or online;
  • Make necessary preparation to deliver the trainings in Arabic for a mixed group of OVs from the Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian nationalities;
  • Design one awareness session curriculum on basics of GBV to people with disability;
  • Deliver 3 GBV and disability trainings for OVs and IMC staff (Each training is one day);
  • Ensure the training learning objectives include the following: understanding the different types of disability, the links between disability and GBV, guidelines on including people with disability in GBV programming, communication skills with people with disability, facilitation skills of an awareness session on basics of GBV to people with disability, referral pathways for people with disability.
  • Prepare and deliver pre and post tests for the trainings;
  • Prepare trainings report;
  • Support IMC program team in collecting attendance sheets and other admin tasks for the trainings;

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with people with disability;
  • Solid understanding of GBV programming;
  • Relevant experience in delivering disability trainings;
  • Degree in special education, occupational therapy, psychology, speech therapy or any related field;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Previous experience in delivering trainings in a humanitarian setting;
  • Previous experience working with communities from different backgrounds and different literacy levels;
  • Experience in GBV programming is a plus

Fixed Price Fee:         

A fixed fee of 200 USD per day will be paid. Each deliverable has a different number of days to be completed, making a total number of 8 working days .

Location of Work: Consultant resides in Lebanon and will conduct her/his work in Beirut in case trainings happen in person, or from home if trainings takes place online. The Consultant will be responsible for the travel arrangements to and from the trainings locations and will ensure good internet connection for online sessions.
