UX Expert - ACT SMART INNOVATION HUB – Accelerator Program

Context & Background

 

Berytech is a leading organization in the Entrepreneurial Eco-system in Lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in Lebanon.

 

The Accelerator Program's mission is to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:

  1. A disruptive scientific or technological focus in the Clean-tech sector.
  2. The possibility to scale beyond the local market
  3. The potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally

 

Scope of work

 

The Accelerator Program seeks a UX Expert to deliver the following requirements:

 

Advise Cohort I Startups on applying best-in-class User Experience practices to their products including:

 

  1. Providing holistic evaluation and auditing of a startup’s digital product
  2. Highlighting the need for user research and helping startups through user research methodologies
  3. Guiding startups to perform big-picture prototyping and usability testing
  4. Equiping startups with working knowledge of best UX practices
  5. Facilitating translation of concepts into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  6. Identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions.
  7. Making strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  8. Taking a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience working within a UX role either in a customer-side or agency setting
  • Experience developing UX strategies for both products and organisations
  • Experience with web technologies (object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and the latest web standards including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Proven experience planning and facilitating collaborative design workshops
  • Experience in a variety of design/wireframing/prototyping tools, e.g. Axure, Abode XD, Figma etc.
