Position Purpose

Ensuring the development, management and technical support related to data management. As well as, ensuring the accuracy and protection of all data collected in the project, in addition for qualitative and quantitative data analysis

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Capacity Building: 10 %

  • Supervise the good data collection in the appropriate tools and eventually organize dedicated training and support the mission staff when required
  • Propose improvements of the database and data collection tools to ensure their consistency – in close collaboration with the education program coordinator and MEAL unit  

 

Data Management: 60%

  • Combine the data collected by the field team in the database or through online software (Child Level Monitoring CLM, Activity Info, and Akelius)
  • Ensure quality of the data entered and within the respect of deadlines
  • Support program team regarding the preparation of database frames based on questionnaires and other data collection tools
  • Supervise data entry and ensure data cleaning in Education database
  • Supervise and oversees the referral information management system RIMS, and provide support needed
  • Report any discrepancies to the education program coordinator between the database and the data collection tools
  • Extract data for external reporting (Activity Info, and CLM) and upload online/submit when requested

 

 

  • Provide any data analysis report under Education Program Coordinator’s request
  • Routine follow up on the data management and analysis, and regular update and reporting on the progress (challenges, achievements, etc.) to the education program coordinator and MEAL unit

Coordination: 10%

  • Participate in all relevant meetings and trainings proposed by MS and partners
  • Coordinate AKELIUS PROJECT resources and liaise with head of centers and program coordinator to collect and disseminate proper information to improve the service
  • Actively participate in AKELIUS PROJECT work groups

Reporting: 20%

  • Build automated reporting tools when required in close coordination with the education program coordinator and MEAL unit
  • Ensures the correct reporting in Activity Info, Child Level Monitoring Tool, and narrative reports
  • Provide monthly and quarterly quantitative internal reports
  • Participate in the production of intermediary and final report for donors
    Report and document on achievements and challenges/mitigations on data managements software and platforms, and proceed as per feedback

Working conditions

  • The Information Management Officer will operate under the supervision of EDUCATION PROGRAM COORDINATOR, in constant cooperation with head of centers
  • The Information Management Officer will be based in Beirut office with frequent visits to the related areas of MS centers (Akkar, North, Beirut/Mont Lebanon, Beqaa, South and Nabatiyeh)

QUALIFICATIONS Experience Requirements: • At least two years of relevant work experience in information management • Experience working in designing information management systems or database management, and analytic with computer skills • Experience in remote and blended learning is a plus • Work experience with open source programs • Experience in developing education information systems, databases and reports is a plus • Experience in working in a multidisciplinary environment Education Requirements: • Bachelor degree in information management, computer science • Excellent understanding of Lebanon ecosystem (knowledge in CP is a plus), • Required Skills: • Skills in designing and implementing information management frameworks • Strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to use computer programs to collect, documents and share assessment and monitoring results • Strong training, mentoring and facilitation skills, • Strong coordination skills, • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities • Good analytical and report writing skills • Advanced communication skills, • Excellent command of both written and oral Arabic and English or French • Digital Data Collection • Education platforms
