IOCC is looking for Area Monitors in Beirut / Mount Lebanon, North / Akkar, Bekaa / Baalbeck -Hermel and South / Nabatieh. The area monitor will be responsible for monitoring malnutrition activities and auditing financial operations in PHCs treating cases of acute malnutrition.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Conduct weekly visits to PHCs treating acute malnutrition cases in the area
- Conduct on-the-job training to the designated health staff on anthropometric measurements (MUAC, weight, height and edema) and management of acute malnutrition for children under 5
- Ensure the correct implementation of the referral process (PHC to PHC, PHC to hospital, hospital to PHC)
- Provide the needed support and guidance to ensure proper follow-up of children admitted for management of acute malnutrition and prevent a high incidence of defaulters.
- Monitor and audit financial operations related to transportation and consultation fees for malnutrition cases visiting the management PHCs
- Refer malnutrition cases to specialized agencies to receive the needed support when needed (cash assistance, food assistance…)
- Coordinate with the MoPH-PHC coordinator in the area and the malnutrition officer to ensure an optimal implementation of the program.
- Report and raise major challenges or concerns related to the referrals to the malnutrition officer and the Senior Health Officer
- Perform other duties as required or assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
- Good organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and initiative taker.
- Experience in capacity building and trainings
- Good report writing skills.
- Dynamic personality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of work experience
- Previous experience in working with vulnerable populations is an advantage.
Working Conditions
- Stationed in the field, daily visits to the PHCs
- Visits to Beirut office for meetings, trainings, related paper work
- Candidate should have a car
