Senior Business Development Specialist - Focus in ICT, Media, and Consulting

Role description

The role of the Senior Business Development Specialist for the ICT, Media and consulting sectors is to implement activities to increase Lebanon’s sectors growth capacity in both the regional and global export markets under the guidance of the Business Development Lead.

The Senior Business Development Specialist will focus on services, such as consulting, marketing, media (TV and film) and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Responsibilities and Key Tasks

• Collaborate closely with Business Development Lead to implement the necessary strategies and activities to increase Lebanon’s exports of goods and services.
• Assist with co-creation exercises with key partners to develop ICT, Media and consulting firms strategies/action plans.
• Ongoing market research to identify and connect with Key firms and/or players in the above-mentioned sectors to locate and facilitate growth deals.
• Analyze sector needs, constraints and opportunities and propose workable solutions accordingly.
• Perform other market researches to assess international target markets and customers in order to facilitate strategic development and feasibility studies.
• Identify market trends and new business opportunities.
• Play key role managing firm-level partnerships and partnership network.
• Assist with activities aimed at diversifying and expanding market access and networks.
• Track return on investment (ROI) of cost versus sales generated from these activities and contribute to iterative planning.
• Support implementation of sector- and firm-level activities to strengthen Lebanon’s ability to meet buyer cost and quality requirements (domestic and international exports).
• Liaise with service providers and international experts to build capacity of trade support institutions and service providers.
• Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in ICT, management, business, finance, or other relevant field. A Master degree is a plus.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in business development that includes achieving growth deals locally and internationally for services such as:  consulting, marketing, media (TV and film), and Information and Communications Technology.
• Demonstrated professional experience creating, reviewing, analyzing business plans. 

• Strong business acumen.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong linguistics skills - both written and oral – in English and Arabic.
• Have a proven track record in business growth and business development in the ICT, Media or Consulting field.
• Have delivered creative and flexible customer solutions to different businesses across various domains.
• Good knowledge in the latest emerging trends for growth in the ICT, media and consulting sector.

• Strong network and competitive edge of connection in the ICT, media and consulting field in both Lebanon and abroad.
