        Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- 3-years minimum experience in case management work, advocacy, legal services,

social work, or related fields;

- Knowledge in data management and analysis;

- Knowledge and understanding of human rights, urban and related legal issues.

knowledge of the right to housing is a plus;

- Familiarity with the NGO landscape in Lebanon;

- Strong commitment to gender, race, and socioeconomic justice;

- Tenacity in advocating for access to information, justice, and resources for people

seeking support;

- University Degree in Urbanism, Social Sciences, Social Work, or related fields; or

equivalent experience;

- Excellent command of Arabic (spoken-read-written) & English (spoken-readwritten);

- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills;

- Excellent writing skills, familiarity with report writing is a plus;

- Very good organizational and time management skills, proactive;

- Ability to work on afternoons/evenings on a regular basis, and Saturdays or

Sundays on a semi-regular basis.

         Responsibilities

Team Management, Supervising Direct Casework and Networking:

- Assist Data Base Manager in overviewing data integrity and consolidating several

databases emanating from reporting lines and partnerships;

- Support HM caseworkers in day-to-day work of counseling, intervention, referrals,

and legal and technical support to dwellers of Lebanon facing housing

vulnerabilities;

- Working with caseworkers to collaboratively manage challenging cases;

- Lead team meetings and one to one meetings with caseworkers to assess cases,

ensure appropriate follow-up, manage larger projects, and ensure team mental

health and debriefing practice;

- Supervise and manage reporting line operators;

- Referring cases and communicating with other organizations and entities that

provide support service to social groups and communities they target, (low income

dwellers, neighborhood based dwellers, migrants, refugees, the elderly, women,

people with disabilities, LQBTQ people, workers and students), and collaborating

with them on specific cases;

- Oversee network of referrals services for legal and social services, ensuring annual

meetings with referral organizations and outreach meetings to explore new

partners with HM in monitoring housing conditions;

- Assist in building volunteer based social workers in a number of geographies;

- Coordinate with PW team to facilitate periodic training sessions for various

community groups, volunteers with the Housing Monitor and report line operators

on housing rights, monitoring operations and related documentation including data

security;

- Support the formation of a legal task force specialized in housing rights, including

regular meetings with legal partners.

Research:

- Analyze and deduce readings from data collection with PW’s multidisciplinary team;

- Assist PW team in researching and monitoring changes to national and international

legislation and policy related to housing rights.

Monitoring Program Management and Reporting:

- Use and develop reporting mechanisms;

- Ensure implementation of casework documentation software and other tools among

the team;

- Follow up on casework team needs;

- Contribute to grant reporting and/or editing;

- Meet periodically with partner organizations, researchers and journalists;

- Documentation of best practices, case studies, and guides / information sharing

internally and externally.

Advocacy:

- Coordinate closely with Communication and Advocacy Managers to strategize and

implement campaigns around the rights to housing, and based on the monitoring

data;

- Design and implement case-based advocacy campaigns for specific produced

vulnerabilities and that potentially support community based organizing for

housing rights;

- Write and edit reports, urgent submissions, and letters to local government

institutions as well international human rights organizations flagging out housing

rights violations and demanding just policies;

- Represent PW in external meetings and events.
