GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the related unit for management and implementation of their project, including procurement, project monitoring and evaluation, financial management, progress and financial reporting.
  • Supervise their project staff in the performance of their respective duties and ensure the efficient functioning of the project
  • Facilitate team building and cohesive working amongst team members
  • Develop SOPSs and tools for core sectors to mainstream beneficiary participation approaches throughout ADRA’s program
  • Prepare monthly progress reports – or as needed, and other reports that may be required by stakeholders
  • Provide direction and leadership in advocating project objectives and in ensuring that all interested parties are well informed about the project activities and goals.
  • Maintain project transparency and accountability within project team and with donors
  • Lead the development of work plans, workshops and periodical work sessions and meetings for the project team and hold orientation seminar for team members from the project and Protection sector to clarify the project's objective and methodology.
  • Assist in development of the gender mainstreaming strategy and ensure the mainstreaming of gender into all project activities.
  • Must ensure establishment and maintenance of proper electronic and paper filing systems – including student information, grades, and referrals.
  • Develop new project proposals related to Protection, building on lessons learned, needs assessments, and coordination with key stakeholders
  • Represent ADRA in sector meetings, working groups and external relations
  • The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Coordinator

FOOD SECURITY AND LIVELIHOODS DUTIES:

  • Responsible for the implementation of ADRA’s FSL (including food voucher and conditional cash voucher for food-related livelihood activities)
  • Lead, manage and motivate staff under direct line management, ensuring that they have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performances.
  • Responsible to oversee weekly and monthly work plans in line with the implementation plan.
  • Liaise regularly with the beneficiaries, communities and municipalities and ensure community participation especially women in all steps of project cycle, and CFGB’s acceptance of programming
  • Oversee the project budget, financial reporting, and forecasting.
  • Monitor budget/expenditure based on the implementation plans; and analyze Budget-versus-Actual reports to assess any discrepancies and ensure timely expenditure.
  • Work with logistics/procurement and programming staff to develop the Food Voucher program and identification of businesses for the cash voucher program, through fair and transparent
  • Produce monthly reports for internal use on the status of on-going programming; and contribute to donor reporting.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION:

  • With the support of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, develop and operationalize monitoring and evaluation mechanisms the CFGB-funded project
  • Ensure clear plans in place for monitoring and evaluating project activities in relation to ADRA and donor objectives; and that lessons learnt are shared and taken advantage of
  • Ensure that activities are monitored regularly, and that data is collected on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Analyze and evaluate monitoring data to understand impact of project and identify lessons learned for future programming
  • Regularly communicate with beneficiaries to follow-up on any complaints and feedback

EXTERNAL COORDINATION:

  • Report regularly onto ActivityInfo and to the Cash Task Force and Food Security Sector
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as governmental bodies, UN agencies, local NGOs and other implementing partners

- Master degree in a directly related field, such as international relations, quantitative analysis, international development, etc - At least 3 years’ experience in development or emergency project implementation preferably with an international humanitarian NGO. - Demonstrated experience in Food Security and Livelihoods - Demonstrated commitment to gender responsive programming. - Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines - Proven ability to develop proposals and write reports meeting donor requirements Must be able to work independently and represent ADRA Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel)
