ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

MANAGEMENT AND CAPACITY BUILDING

• Supervising, monitoring & controlling the vaccination program within the Qadaa dispensaries;
• Coordinating the mechanism of receiving and submitting the vaccines to the entitled dispensaries & Primary Health Care centers within the Qadaa per the guidance set by the EPI management;
• Monitoring the proper functioning and effectiveness of the cold chain system within each dispensary in the Qadaa;
• Ensuring that the validity of the documented data is pertinent and relevant to the vaccination process through regular revision of the reporting received;
• Coordinating & monitoring data entry concerning all vaccination processes;
• Conducting periodic field visits to all Qadaa dispensaries to audit the documentation process, cold chain & techniques of vaccine administration per EPI Protocol;
• Monitoring EPI Information Education and Communication activities;
• Participating in and providing EPI trainings for routine and supplementary immunization activities;
• Participating in development of routine EPI and Supplementary Immunization Activities (SIAs) plans;
• Building a team spirit and sense of interdisciplinary cooperation with the Qadaa Physician;
• Documentation of EPI activities per the guidance of EPI management;
• To provide the vaccination services in Batroun Governmental dispensary and to increase the routine vaccination coverage for children under 18 in Batroun district;
• To Allocate 2 days/week (or more based on the need) for EPI support to the EPI focal persons in T5;
• Perform other duties as required by PHC Department.

EDUCATION

Have a BS in Nursing.

Member of the Order of Nurses.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Have minimum 1-year experience in the nursing field with experience in vaccination. Preferably previous working with MoPH.
• Good monitoring and reporting skills.
• Ability to communicate well with all partners.
• Ability to plan and prioritize the work load.
• Coping with cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
• Good computer skills.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and/or French.
• Holder of a Lebanese Nationality.
