Responsibilities:
• Carry out an assessment of existing programs and services as well as data collection/reporting mechanisms provided by RDFL through interviews with staff, partners and beneficiaries.
• Conduct interviews and Focus Group discussions with existing MPHSS personnel & beneficiaries.
• Develop a final capacity assessment report to be submitted to RDFL in two languages (Arabic and English)
• Conduct a workshop for a discussion of the results and implications for RDFL’s work
• Coordinate closely with a second consultant in charge of developing a guideline and a Training of Trainers based on the capacity assessment
Experience and technical competencies:
• Advanced university degree in psychology, social work, Mental Health or any related field;
• 5-7 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience in the field of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support
• Extensive knowledge of the Lebanese context, legal apparatus, as well as current challenge;
• Extensive knowledge of gender issues in development, particularly GBV, including relevant international human rights standards;
• Extensive knowledge on psychosocial support for survivors of GBV
• Experience in capacity assessment and quantitative and qualitative data collection
• Qualitative and quantitative research experience is a plus
• Experience in utilizing the following internationals tools: GBV Standard Operating Procedures; GBV Information Management System; IASC GBV Guidelines; IACMH PSS Guidelines,IASC Gender Handbook; GBV Coordination Handbook; WHO Ethical and Safety Recommendations;
• Strong experience in developing work plans for capacity assessments, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), interview guidelines, capacity assessment tools.
• Strong ability to draft, edit, and produce results-focused reports meeting international standards;
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong team player, ability to work in a team with a second consultant
Languages:
• Fluency in Arabic and English is a must
