Community Health Educator (CHE) - (South / Bekaa / Mount Lebanon)

1- Summary:
The CHE will work collaboratively and coordinate with municipalities to raise awareness on various health topics (Reproductive health, IYCF, hygiene, nutrition…) at community level, and will also follow up on the work of the peer leaders and support them when needed.
2- Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Organize and deliver awareness sessions on various health topics (Reproductive health, IYCF, Hygiene…) in coordination with the municipalities
- Reach out to the community and conduct the sessions in their localities when needed
- Use interactive sessions and a participatory approach for effective communication
- Link the community to the nearest PHC in the area and ensure referral
- Follow up on the work of the peer leaders and provide them with the needed support.
- Link the peer leaders to the municipalities to conduct awareness sessions
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
3- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
- Good public speaking and communication skills
- Dynamic personality with strong social, interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel
- Fluency in reading/writing/speaking Arabic is necessary
