Job summary:

  • Contribute to timely and accurate implementation of project activities with supporting documentation and provide solutions in collaboration with implementing partners when needed.
  • Follow-up with partners and stakeholders on project requirements and support the project team in ensuring a timely and smooth coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Support with planning, scheduling and information-sharing with various stakeholders and project team members.
  • Carry out logistical and administrative tasks required for the project’s three components, including those needed for data collection, organizing bootcamps, scheduling coaching sessions and delivering trainings.
  • Conduct regular project visits to the North and the Bekaa to follow-up on the implementation of activities, monitor progress, provide structured feedback and report on challenges.
  • Track tasks’ progress, status and implementation quality based on the project’s workplan.
  • Assist in preparing new tools and templates based on project needs.
  • Contribute actively to maintain a strong working relationship with partners. 

Background:

Al Mashghal is a dynamic platform for businesses, educational institutions and students aiming at providing continuous and regular data about market trends, gaps and opportunities, and creating a link between the young workforce and job market through a matching process. Additionally, and based on this regular data, universities along with experts will be designing and delivering learning programs targeting both university students and employees from SMEs to enhance skills required for better performance. The project has three main components:

Social innovation hub
The Social Innovation Hub is an innovation space within universities designed to help students transform their innovative business and social business ideas into real projects. This is done through providing a space for students to explore their ideas, receive placements and innovative learning opportunities including trainings, coaching, and financing opportunities. The social innovation hub will focus in its programs on encouraging entrepreneurship, providing business-planning support, and creating opportunities for placement and external learning services.

 

Labor market observatory

The Labor Market Observatory (LMO) is an online research tool and database that provides students, universities, the private sector and international organizations with regular data and analysis on the status of the market in terms of jobs and skills required, trends, sectors in demand and other relevant information. Additionally, this platform will serve as a job matching site which connects skilled youth to businesses in need of their talents whether through internships or jobs.

Market-oriented curricula
The Market-Oriented Curricula (MOC) aims at boosting employability through providing university and vocational students with new market-oriented and adapted curricula. During this process, universities and vocational institutions will be supported to design market relevant curricula and use experiential learning techniques. The resulting curricula are delivered to university students, vocational education students and employees in the private sector.
