The Project Assistant performs the following tasks:

 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting KAS staff in all logistical and administrative tasks related to implementing KAS projects and networking with partners and important stakeholders.

 

Tasks

 

  1. Assistance related to event management
  • Support in event management, especially procuring services, materials and equipment on request
  • Accompany other KAS staff to events and support them at the venue as needed
  • Support in booking flights, tickets and hotel reservations as well as transport
  • Prepare checklists for workshops and events on request
  • Support in follow-up of logistical preparations for activities
  • Perform other duties and tasks at the request of management

 

 

  1. Partner liaison
  • Assist the Head of Office and the Project Coordinators in all tasks related to implementing activities with cooperation partners
  • Assist in identifying new cooperation partners
  • Maintain a good and professional relationship with all cooperation partners

 

 

  1. Other functions
  • Work extra/overtime hours as needed according to workload and meetings, including week-ends/holidays when necessary. Overtime hours will be compensated by time off
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned

 

 

Required Qualifications, Competences and Experience

  1. Qualifications
  • B.A. degree desired
  • Working experience in administration and/or project implementation
  • Good teamwork, communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Good computer skills (incl. Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment)
  • Ability to work in an intercultural environment
  • Demonstrated dependability and self-motivation
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity and reliability

 

  1. Professional experience
  • At least 1 year professional experience in a comparable position
