Audio Editor

The Knowledge Workshop is looking for a part time audio editor to help us in recording and editing our oral histories

The Knowledge Workshop (KW) is a feminist organization that works on making accessible feminist knowledge, and on documenting and disseminating women’s stories and histories in Lebanon. KW works through three main projects: The Storytellers Project (a women’s oral history project), the Feminist School, and the public Feminist Library. The audio editor will be assisting the KW team with:

Recording, editing and finalizing audio content

Providing soundbites and other customized audio content for the oral history project

Maintaining and updating KW’s oral history archives and audio content

Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of women’s issues and social movements in Lebanon, and who are interested in women’s histories.

Qualifications needed:

A degree in audio visual studies

A minimum of two years of experience in audio recording and editing audio files and podcasts

Proficient in using different audio tools and audio archiving software

Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.

Self-driven but also good at working collaboratively

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Familiarity with women’s and feminist issues in Lebanon

Has a flexible schedule, including being available on some weekends
