About the Role:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets gathered from surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Your analysis will drive meaningful insights that inform the final report and policy recommendations. This role requires a detail-oriented, data-driven individual with strong statistical and communication skills who can present findings in a clear, impactful way to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection Tool Development: Design and develop data collection tools to ensure efficient data gathering, enabling high-quality and relevant data from surveys, interviews, and other field sources.
• Collect, clean, and process raw data from various sources, including field surveys and interviews.
• Data Visualization and Dashboard Support: Develop user-friendly visualizations and support in creating dashboards that present data insights in an accessible format.
• Analyze data using statistical tools and methodologies (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, Excel).
• Develop and apply statistical models to interpret complex data and generate insights.
• Present findings through comprehensive reports, data visualizations, and infographics.
• Collaborate with the research team to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
• Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for the final research report.
• Assist in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for the project and recommend areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in socio-economic or policy-related research.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, Python, SPSS, or similar.
• Experience with survey and data collection tools (e.g., Survey123, Kobo Toolbox) for efficient data-gathering.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or custom-built platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in presenting data findings.
• Experience working with international NGOs, government bodies, or similar organizations is a plus.
