NUWAT – Social Solidarity Center is a Lebanese non-governmental organization, established by the beginning of 1998 and was registered at the Ministry of Interior Affairs as an independent grassroots NGO on May 19th, 2009, license number 989.

Basically, it operates in the Palestine refugee camps, gatherings and all around Lebanon, for it mainly focuses on advocacy, social, health and educational spheres.

SSC aims at assisting refugees and others marginalized (women, youth, children and needy families) without discrimination or preferences, through providing the needs of the poor families by means of various projects in coordination with the local authorities and NGOs.

Project Coordinator for Alternative School Project

Nuwat – Social Solidarity Centre functions on developing the Palestinian community inside the Palestine refugee camps and surroundings within socio-economic frame focusing on elevating the vocational and academic aspects of education, limiting drop outs and illiteracy, raising educational and health awareness through running activities targeting youths, women and children in particular. SSC, also functions on empowering youths to engage in the community to play a vital role in decision making through carrying out advocacy campaigns.
