The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Division of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a Researcher to monitor the human rights situation in Lebanon. The Researcher will be responsible for developing and implementing a research and advocacy strategy on Lebanon. This is a fixed-term full-time position for two years. This position will be based in Beirut and report to the Middle East and North Africa Division Deputy Director based in Beirut (the Beirut Director).

The Middle East and North Africa Division (“MENA”) of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is currently seeking an intern in the Beirut Office. The selected candidate will intern closely with the MENA deputy director, researchers, and research assistant. Ideally, the candidate will intern for three months starting on August 13, 2018, with the possibility for extension.

The Middle East and North Africa (“MENA) Division of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is seeking a Research Assistant to assist in the monitoring and reporting of human rights violations in Egypt, with possible additional rights monitoring and reporting work on Libya. This is a fixed-term full-time (40 hours per week) position for up to 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Preferred locations for this position to be based include Berlin, Tunis, and Beirut, however, other locations will be considered. The Research Assistant will report to the Egypt Researcher in the MENA Division, based in Europe.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (“LGBT”) Rights Program of Human Rights Watch (“HRW”) is seeking a Research Assistant to assist in the monitoring and reporting of human rights violations affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people in the Middle East and North Africa (“MENA”).  This fixed-term position for one year is based in Beirut and will report to the Senior Researcher on LGBT Rights based in the New York office.
