Call for Applicants for Social Peace Workshop

CALL FOR APPLICANTS The social peace unit is inviting organizations who are interested in enhancing social peace among communities you are working with and in different areas in Lebanon, who also works with diverse target group to apply for this call. The systematic social peace workshop will enhance the engagement level within the benefitted groups and will be reflected in the community.

The process of the Social Peace Workshop that will be provided is the following:

Social peace workshop level 1 (SPW1)

Supporting participants of local communities coming from different backgrounds to put their own Personal Peace Plans inspired by a paradigm shift of how they perceive peace and how they work to enhance it. Moreover, participants are expected to start thinking of their community-based initiative that would create space for them and for others to meet and work together. 

Dialogue session (DIA)

Advancing the dialogue skills of participants to be reflected on their perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors towards each other by fostering the space created during the initiative development process.

Initiative Formation:

Depending on the participants resources, an initiative is formed to induce a positive change in people’s perceptions on each other, and in their relationships at the social level (especially between refugees and host communities), and to provide support for their communities during emergencies.

Social peace workshop level 2 (SPW2)

Supporting participants to advance their peacebuilding skills with more tools and concepts and to clarify their personal peace plans as advanced peacebuilders, and set together their visions of social peace in their communities.

Application Requirements:

• Applied with local community groups (refugee and host), different age groups preferably same generation, 12 – 15 participants per workshop

- Be committed during the Social Peace Process including the period of the trainings as well as the follow up follow-up process.

- Be willing to attend an introduction meeting with HOPe.

- Appoint a focal point to be communicated with regarding the coordination of the trainings

Be willing to support the group referred during the Social Peace process if needed.
