We emphasize strengthening the partner National Society through organisational development and operational capacity building. In MENA DRC is present in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Yemen with a total of 25 international delegates.

The Danish Red Cross (DRC) has collaborated with SARC since 2006, initially through cooperation on a psychosocial support (PS) programme provided to the Iraqi refugee population in Syria, and since the beginning of the conflict in 2011 through programmes with a focus on PS, health and relief items, for conflict affected communities, as well as organisational capacity building for the national society.
