Call for Trainer - Consultant

Nabad  is seeking a consultant or team of consultants, an expert(s) in the fields of peacebuilding and Human Rights.  The consultant or team of consultants will deliver training on conflict resolution, social stabillity mechanism and need assessment for refugee and vulnerable host-population youths in the Nabad's project areas of Mount Lebanon ( barja) and North Bekaa( Arsal).  
Nabad is setting-up 2 community groups, comprising of 20 participants per group (40 participants overall).  The 2 groups ( each one) are to receive a 5-day workshop on conflict resolution, and a 3-day  workshop on social stability mechanism and a 2- day workshop on need assessment.

Duties and Responsibilities

 1.     Workshop Implementation and Facilitation

Prepare training/workshop content and materials, targeting Syrian and Lebanese.
Implement and facilitate 10 workshops for 20-participants/workshop; on conflict resolution. 
Implement and facilitate 3  workshops for 20-participants/workshop on social social stability mechanism ; 2 days on need assesment.

2.     Monitoring & Evaluation, Documentation

To monitor and evaluate the workshop process,Recording successes and lessons learned.  Qualitative and quantitative data. 

 
PERSON SPECIFICATION

 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

BA or equivalent in social and political sciences, human rights, or other relevant disciplines

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with a development organisation, including significant experience working at field level.

Previous experience in Group Facilitation and Workshop Implementation  

Fluent in Arabic and English, excellent communication skills in Arabic are a must

Able to influence and motivate others by making their case

Demonstrates the ability to take the initiative

Gets on well with people of diverse backgrounds and in diverse roles

Is computer literate and numerate

Excellent inter-personal, communication and presentation skills

Skills and experience in monitoring, and evaluation

Strong analytical skills

A clear commitment to the mission and vision of Nabad for development.
