During the implementation of DROIT project AJEM is looking for recruiting an English language educator to deliver English language classes at the AJEM education center in the Roumieh Central Prison.

The selected trainer will do capacity building and run training of 200 hours during a period of 2-3 months in the Roumieh prison. There will be 2 or more trainings during the year 2019. The trainer will work with a group of 15-20 inmates who are selected by AJEM social workers.

AJEM is currently recruiting for a position "Accountant & Administrative Assistant."

Association of Justice and Mercy's (AJEM) mission since 1998 is to ameliorate the living conditions of all detainees in Lebanese prisons and to insure the respect of their fundamental human rights. This is because we believe that every human being’s dignity should be honored and that society as a whole benefits from a better treatment of detainees. AJEM believes that prisons must be restorative institutions rather than punitive, therefore it offers many educational, sport and recreational activities, which are supported by AJEM's partners.

AJEM is seeking to hire an external project evaluator for one of its currently implementing projects. The intervention sector is protection and advocacy. Incarcerated Syrian refugees and beneficiaries of other nationalities are benefiting from the project. The project also has awareness sessions in Syrian Refugee camps as well as advocacy activities.

The criminology department at AJEM is seeking for an experienced researcher, preferably with experience in criminology.

TASKS
Conduct a protection and legal advocacy research study.
