General information about the project:

The proposed action is an urgent multi-sectoral intervention that addresses seasonal needs and water supply services gaps in the underserved governorate of Akkar, in the north of Lebanon. By enhancing the public water system of a municipality of Akkar and securing winterization of a local public school, the project is addressing urgent multi-sectoral needs and gaps of vulnerable communities and children of Lebanon by securing public water provision and seasonal preparedness.

ARCS is looking for a Logistics and Procurement Officer that will support ARCS staff in the implementation of a Social Stability intervention in Baalbeck-Hermel governorate, financed by RDPP.

ARCS Arci Culture Solidali is currently recruiting a Training Consultant with strong demonstrated experience in: Needs Assessment and Data Analysis; Project Development and Budgeting; Implementation, Monitoring and Reporting; and Presentation Skills. The position entails a 4-day training in Baalbeck-Hermel Governorate.

The project, which will be implemented in the area of Baalbek-Hermel, is a 3-pillar intervention that places youth-based social cohesion mechanisms at the centre of the initiative, in strong connection with protection and livelihoods components. The intervention aims at reducing social tensions and expanding protection spaces for target communities by adopting a comprehensive approach which focuses both on engaging youth as actors of social change in the displacement-affected communities and on improving local stakeholders’ capacity to build networks and respond to community challenges.

Purpose of the job is to contribute in generating a National Task Force representing all the stakeholders, and working on prisons and prisoners’ rights, by focusing on Penitentiary Reform, as well as involving civil society organisations, ministries, academia and institutions, in order to exchange practices and lessons learnt, discuss challenges and gaps of the penitentiary system and set the priorities to work on, via an ultimate change of the current penitentiary situation.

Under DROIT project, MS and AJEM in partnership with the leading INGO ARCS are working together in order to contribute towards promoting an inclusive society by strengthening civil society organisations in Lebanon with a specific objective of supporting young male and female prisoners in their social inclusion path.
