Position: Media & Advocacy Manager
 

In collaboration with the management and programs departments, develop, manage and implement strategic internal and external advocacy and media plans and activities that support ABBAD’s mission and goals.
Lead on the development and delivery of ABAAD media and advocacy across the country
Providing technical advice and specialist guidance on appropriate media and advocacy and communications solutions.
Develop relations and partnerships with local, regional and international organizations and agencies.
Plays active role in media, lobby, and advocacy on issues related to programmes through personal contacts and co-ordination of allies.
Help in the development and implementation of a robust brand identity for ABAAD.
Promote ABAAD’s gender-related messaging and advocacy through the full range of available media channels.
Deliver successful campaigning across the country to challenge existing norms and behaviors around gender and women’s rights
Represent ABAAD at specific meetings and events, including representation in coordination meetings and external relationships, including representation to influential external contacts
Work closely with the team member (digital engagement officer) to develop visibility materials.
Work with Programme Quality Coordinator on monitoring and evaluating regional gender justice programme media and advocacy to measure the impact and value of all media campaigns and activities and provide adequate recommendations.
Manage any other tasks requested by ABAAD’s director.
