The Union of Relief and Development Associations (URDA) shall hold its 5th Annual Conference for the first time in Beirut, under a Golden sponsorship of Qatar Charity, which is always keen to support URDA’s Conferences and Projects.
 
The conference titled “The International Refugee Crisis, What next?" kicks off on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Bristol Hotel – Beirut with the participation of more than 300 personalities involved in the global refugee crisis, including Ministers of the Lebanese Government and their representatives, Diplomats, Ambassadors, Civil Society figures, INGOs, Specialized Academics, and an impressive media presence from various media organizations.
 
The conference aims to discuss the various humanitarian issues that affect our current world, in particular the refugee issue through dialogue and interactive sessions that end by drawing recommendations and lessons learned, and by sharing it among all groups concerned with the humanitarian field.
 
The conference will include an introductory exhibition of the main achievements of URDA and the sponsoring societies, and a 3D Technology will be used along with the latest smart phone applications so to demonstrate the exhibition’s items interactively with the audience.
 
The conference will also be followed by field visits to URDA Syrian Refugee Shelters in various Lebanese regions, for those who wish to be familiarized with the refugee experience as closely as on the bitter ground.
