Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the referent person for all the activities related to the back to schools, including 1st shift and 2nd shift;
  • Liaise with the target schools and to be the representative of TDH It with the School Principals;
  • Be the focal point for the Syrian and non- Syrian families with children in school age residing in the target area;
  • Supporting the schools in the enrolment process of the Syrian and non-Syrian and vulnerable Lebanese children according the criteria set by MEHE and UNHCR;
  • Ensure monitoring of project implementation in accordance with the Logical Framework;
  • Ensure data collection and sources of verification;
  • Program regular visits to the activities to ensure the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation;
  • Contribute to prepare relevant documents (including brochures, information notes, information board updates) for target communities;
  • Assist with preparation of outreach work and materials in the field;
  • Providing timely and detailed reporting of project activities to the Education Coordinator;
  • Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with the Project Manager;
  • Work closely and effectively with TDH-It Lebanon staff;
  • Represents TDH-It in field base multi agency and overall interagency cluster where appropriate.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • A university degree is required.
  • Good knowledge of the community resources within the municipality/school district;
  • Good knowledge of the local community and population;
  • Familiarity with interview techniques; familiarity with local social agencies available to deal with problems in the area;
  • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English and Arabic sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position;
  • Availability of driving license;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal;
  • Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT;
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure and in response to changing needs;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.

Period: From August till end of December 2017 including 3 months probation period; renewable based on performance and availability of fund.
Salary: Remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent skills, education and experience in line with TDH IT salary scale.
