Full time position
This role supports the Campaign and Advocacy and Media and Communications team of Save the Children Lebanon’s country office in the planning and implementation of campaign. The role holder will help plan for the campaign based on the decided goal, objectives and outcomes; in addition to implementing the campaign by developing campaign and advocacy materials. The role holder will also provide communications support, increase the visibility and exposure of the campaign in the media, attend meetings and negotiations with policy makers and donors and create and manage tools relating to monitoring and evaluation of the campaign. The role holder will also be required to provide general support to the team in media and communications.
SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Support members of the team with a wide range of campaign activities across the broad spectrum of the campaign activities, including key global campaign and advocacy moments.
Support and lead on smaller sub-projects such as our advocacy Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning processes related to the campaign involving quarterly progress reports, after action reviews and impact stories.
Develop advocacy and campaign materials including drafting advocacy talking points, lobby letters, and briefs.
Support the delivery of the campaign communications plan through engagement in social media spaces.
Support in the development and implementation of the campaign media strategy and plan and raise the campaign’s exposure and visibility in the media.
Provide ad-hoc internal communications support, e.g. developing internal communication bulletins, developing and updating databases and creating internal platform pages.
Provide support to the team including financial administration of the campaign, material distribution, minute taking, meeting set up.
Attend meetings with stakeholders, Government representatives, donors and report on them.
Conduct and attend meetings with journalist and media representatives and stakeholders and pitch the campaign to them.
Online research for evidence and information to support the campaign findings.
Assisting, and at times leading, on the logistics of internal and external international meetings.
Create and manage Excel spreadsheets relating to monitoring and evaluation and distribution lists.
Leading on the internal working and steering groups for the campaign and create good internal communications and sharing of info, updates and development on the campaign with colleagues and campaign related stakeholders.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Experience in an advocacy and campaigns environment, preferably within an international NGO
Experience in media relations.
Degree is required in media, international relations, development, political science, law or relevant field
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to communicate to people of different cultural backgrounds
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is essential; skills in French language would be an advantage
Strong planning and organisational skills, able to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of quality
Able to multitask in a fast paced environment and willing to work with a rapidly changing set of priorities
Strong attention to detail
Able to manage own workload, with some supervision
A high level of computer literacy and strong technical aptitude in MS Office
Experience in using the internet and other web based resources
Enthusiastic, proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude
An interest in communications and development issues
