Job Description

1. Financial Management


  • Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process and provide financial management advice on budget revisions;
  • Prepare periodical forecasts and keep the upper management team up-to-date about the project’s financial status;
  • Collate financial reporting materials for all donor segments, and oversee all financial, project/program and grants transactions;
  • Liase with the external auditors, coordinate and lead the annual audit process to ensure financial and resource accountability, and effective management for records as required for auditing.
  • Monitoring of the petty cash and bank balances to ensure sufficient funds are always available depending on the program needs;
  • Manage, record and reconcile the project cash flow and forecasting as well as the bank and cash accounts
  • Ensure all orders and purchases are done according to the NGO’s procurement procedures
  • Ensure efficient financial monitoring and reporting (including monitoring expenses and revenues, reviewing and upgrading existing procedures, and ensuring production of appropriate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders).
  • Regularly review with Project managers, in line with Month-end Closure Checklist, the Project Delivery Status Reports and investigate any overspend and take immediate corrective action;
  • Carry out other related tasks as required by the director.


2. HR Management


  • Support in the recruitment process by establishing a recruitment, testing and interviewing program; advise managers on candidate selection; and conduct and analyze exit interviews
  • Implement HR and administrative policies, systems and procedures;
  • Conduct performance appraisals, ensure a proper attendance follow up and Solve team conflicts.
  • Develop effective HR management tools and provide regular HR analysis and reporting to management;
  • Ensure that all staff members have a job description, developed work plans, and regular performance discussions with supervisors/managers
Experience required: Education degree: Masters Degree Field of education: Master in Business Administration, finance or any other related field. A Bachelor degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience may be accepted.
