INTRODUCTION

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence and to provide them with assistance.

The impact of the missing on families and communities is still present, 28 years after the end of the Lebanese Civil War. Without closure, families of the missing will pass on the trauma to new generations of Lebanese. Families of those who went missing during armed conflicts in Lebanon have the right to know what happened to their loved ones.
