عندما تضع الحرب أوزارها وتصمت المدافع، تجد البلاد نفسها أمام استحقاقات مرحلة ما بعد الحرب. مهمات جسام تواجه المواطنين والمؤسسات في هذه المرحلة، من البدء بتوفير شروط بناء السلم إلى إطلاق عملية العدالة الانتقالية مرورا بوضع السياسات الناجعة لإعادة الإعمار وبناء الدولة… وقد لوحظ أنه غالبا ما تُهمل المسائل الاقتصادية في هذه المرحلة مع أنها تمثل في واقع الأمر ركيزة بالغة الأهمية لبناء السلم الأهلي ولترسيخ المواطنة.

Traditional approaches to post-conflict transitional periods have tended to separate the political and economic processes, conceptualizing them as separate spheres. Besides, multinational institutions involved in the process of transition have also followed this separation.

In this manuscript, the researcher reviews the evidence on the interrelatedness of economics and politics with a particular focus on the concept of ‘peace conditionality’ a term used to describe an emerging consensus on both

local developments as well as foreign assistance in the process of transition. 

Also, a brief overview of the economy before the conflict will be presented, followed by a description of the impact of the crisis itself.
